How do I place an order?

For custom orders, head to the ‘Custom Order Form’ section on our website and provide as much detail as you can so that we can best assist you. Please allow 2 business days for a response. If you have not heard from us, please check your ‘spam’ folder or send us a message on Instagram @iwantthatcake.co

Once we have received your enquiry, we will provide you with a quote. Our quotes are valid for 7 days and it is important to note that your order will only be confirmed once we receive a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once the deposit has been paid, we are not able to make changes to the design/flavours. Please ensure that you are 100% happy with the details before confirming your order.

 

How far in advance should I order?

We require a minimum of 2 week’s notice for all custom cake orders and a minimum of 1 week’s notice for cupcake, pizza cake and text cake orders. Due to our cakes being in demand, we have a limited number of orders that we are able to fulfil each week. We suggest placing your order as soon as possible to secure your date.

 

What is the difference between Coffee and Dessert serves?

We offer both coffee serves (1”x1” slices) and dessert serves (2”x1” slices). Please specify your preference when filling out the Custom Order Form. We base our serves on dessert servings. If not specified, we will provide a quote for dessert serves.

How do deposits work?

Iwantthatcake.co requires a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your order. The remaining amount is to be settled 4 days prior to collection/delivery. 

 

Do you deliver?

We offer Sydney-wide delivery Friday-Sunday at an additional cost. If you require delivery, let us know when filling out the Custom Order Form. 

 

How much is delivery?

Delivery fees vary and will be calculated based on the distance. Once we have received your enquiry, we will inform you of the delivery fee.  

 

What is the best way to handle/transport my cake?

Our cakes are placed on a sturdy cake board and packaged in a secure cake box. There are two parts to the cake box. When unpacking the cake, the top part of the box slots into the base. unfold the tabs on the base and the top part of the box will easily lift. Please do this gently to avoid the sides of the box touching the cake.

  • When transporting/holding the cake, please lift from the base, not the sides.
  • When driving with the cake, we recommend placing it on a flat surface, i.e., the passenger side floor.
  • Ensure that the air conditioning is on high as this will help keep the cake cool.
  • Try to avoid heavy braking and taking sharp turns.
  • Before transporting your cake, ensure that it has been refrigerated for a few hours.

* Iwantthatcake.co is not liable for any damage due to mishandling of the cake once collected. If there are any issues, please get in touch and we will try our best to assist. However, this does depend on our availability so please handle your cake with care.

 

How does collection work?

Collection is from Catherine Field, 2557. Collection is between 5:45pm-7pm on weekdays and between 9am-10:30am on weekends. It is important to ensure that you are on time when collecting your order as we multiple collections and a strict delivery schedule to adhere to.   

 

Do you have a minimum order for Cupcakes?

The minimum order for our regular cupcakes is a box of 12. The minimum order for our mini cupcakes is a box of 24. We offer a box of 6 for deluxe cupcake orders. 

 

How should I store/serve my cake? 

  • Once collected/delivered, place your cake in the fridge as soon as possible. The cake should always be refrigerated.  
  • We recommend taking the cake out of the fridge 45 minutes - 1 hour prior to serving to allow for the best texture & flavour.
  • Our cakes are stored in a cake fridge, free from any odours. Please keep this in mind when storing the cake in your fridge. Try to remove anything that has a strong odour.
  • Once cut, store in an airtight container and place in the fridge. The cake will remain fresh for up to 4 days.
  • For cakes with fondant decorations/flowers, we recommend collecting on the day of, as flowers tend to wilt and fondant is best stored at room temperature. 

 

How should I display my cake?

Our cakes are decorated with buttercream and may start to melt if left outdoors or exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time. If you are displaying your cake outside, we recommend cutting it within 1-2 hours. Our cakes can be displayed for 3-4 hours in an airconditioned room. If you are wanting a neat slice, we recommend cutting your cake whilst cold.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

Deposits are collected via a bank transfer (BSB and account number). Once the order has been confirmed, you will receive an invoice along with the order confirmation. We do not accept cash. 

 

What happens if I need to change the date or cancel my order?

Please note that we require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for any date changes/cancellations.

In the event of a cancellation, we require a minimum of 7 days’ notice. You will receive a credit for the deposit, and we are happy to reschedule your order for a future date. This will depend on our availability.

 

Are you a Gluten-Free/Nut-free kitchen?

Iwantthatcake.co is not a nut-free or Gluten-free kitchen and we do not cater for allergies, only preferences. Please bare this in mind when ordering and be sure to inform us through our 'Customer Order Form' as well as your guests.

 

Can you replicate a design for me?

Whilst we are able to take inspiration from other cake designers, please note that we are not able to replicate designs. It is important to be specific when submitting your enquiry as we work hard to create designs that are unique and tailored to your event/theme.

 

What are your terms and conditions?

Pleaser refer to the Terms and conditions link at footer of each page. Customer’s are required to agree to our terms and conditions when submitting their enquiry via our Custom order form. Our Covid Term’s and Conditions are also included on that page. We appreciate your support and loyalty. Given the circumstances, we try our best to appease all parties involved.
